HIV infections surge in Chicago’s Hispanic & Latino communities: What’s being done to help
Chicago's WGN9, 2026
CSM Board Member, Imran Khan, was quoted in this article about the surge of HIV infections in underserved communities. “The incidence rates in Chicago have been alarming for HIV,” Khan said. “HIV has this amazing ability to expose our social fault lines in society and show us who is actually being neglected. Homeless Americans Are Costing Us Millions Each Year. Street Medicine Would Help
Newsweek, April 29th, 2022

Time and again, people experiencing homelessness have sought care and left feeling humiliated and angry.
